    The N150 million fraud leads to the arrest of a 43-year-old cleric

    Police criminal investigators connected to the Zonal Observing Unit of Zone 2 Order Base camp Onikan, Lagos, have captured a 43-year-old Islamic minister, for purportedly gathering N150 million from one of his reliable and changing the personalities of his youngsters and spouse.
    Likewise captured with him were four others, including the pastor’s better half and his local specialist, who arranged charms that were utilized to ‘reset the memory’ of the reliable.
    Yesterday, the complainant’s eye opened after 13 years of serving the cleric, according to Muhammed Ari Ali, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police.
    The AIG stated, On July 17, Animashaun Oluwasegun, also known as Afeez Uthman, filed a petition against Alhaji Afeez Uthman Imole Ayo, Alhaja Mushirafat Kekelomo Salaam (female), Saheed Ajayi Uthma, Temidayo Rashmon, and others at large on charges of criminal conspiracy, compelling action by intimidation, obtaining by false pretense, threat to kill,
    “The request was alluded to the counter robbery unit for discrete examination. A group of agents drove by Mariam Ogunmolasuy, official responsible for enemy of robbery, got the ball rolling and secured five suspects regarding the supposed wrongdoing, and one white Toyota Venza 2009 model, one Ashuk Leyland transport with enlistment number JJJ933YD and different landed properties were recuperated.
    “The suspect, Afeez Uthman Imole Ayo, 43, admitted to be an Islamic minister and organizer behind Amaaniyat – UR-Rahman Worldwide Assembly.
    “He admitted to have gotten N105 million from the candidate, Animashaun Oluwasegun. He also forced the petitioner to change his social security number and name on his American International Passport from his original name to the suspect’s.
    “Besides, the suspect stole the applicant’s significant other and kids for over 10 years, and in this manner changed the complainant’s better half and youngsters’ names to his own name through the assistance of his better half, Alhaja Mushirafat Kikelomo Salaam, for blackmail purposes.
    “He then, at that point, switched every one of the applicant’s properties over completely to his very own utilization, guaranteeing that God guided him to do as such.”
    The AIG continued: It was God that opened the applicant’s eyes 10 years later, when he understood what he was doing and got himself together, migrated from the US of America where he was based and set up the request.
    “All that glitters is not gold, so my humble advice to the faithful of both Christianity and Islam is to be cautious with anyone who goes by the names Pastor and Alfa. The suspect’s better half admitted to the misrepresentation and adjustment of the birth reports papers of the complainant’s kids by changing the youngsters’ introduction to the world characters to Alhaji Afeez Uthman’s name without the protests’ assent. She also acknowledged receiving over $17,000, or N11.817 million.
    “The local specialist, Oyedokun Amos 65, who generally helps the suspect to plan charms for his client, admitted that he knew the suspect for a long time back and that they became companions and colleagues. He conceded getting ready charms with which the Islamic minister used to ‘reset the memory’ of the complainant.”
