The UAE’s economy, according to the Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, is the best example in the Gulf region because it is less than 20% dependent on fossil fuels.
“Countries ought to begin supplanting petroleum derivative energy sources with environment-friendly ones, as the UAE has done,” the global authority, Emirates News Organization (WAM), stated, emphasizing that this break from relying on energy produced from petroleum derivatives is heavily considered when evaluating the progress made in limiting the effects of environmental change.
“The World Financial Conversation re-ensured that natural change is a serious monetary issue and that there are basic threats to the world economy if we don’t take action to direct or conform to ecological change during the next ten years,” he added while commenting on UAAE’s working with of COP28 in the not so distant future.
“Ocean level ascent has multiplied over the most recent twenty years, and the World Meteorological Association kept a critical expansion in sea warming rates notwithstanding a speed increase in snow liquefying. Moreover, the world has started to notice an enormous development in climate disasters, for instance, heat waves in Europe, Asia, and the US, the floods submerging Pakistan and the tropical storms in ahead of time disguised regions like southeast Africa.,” During his comment on the association’s annual report, he added
“The affiliation has recognized logically basic issues concerning water scarcityو drought, and forest area fires, which are entirely negative to human life. In any case, the use of electric vehicles, reasonably esteemed batteries for them, and various techniques, are as of now fundamental for an all the more clear picture that is being moved toward the most capable strategy to deal with this test,” he continued.
“The world has already begun to move toward a solution, but it is not moving quickly enough to limit global warming, keeping the average temperature at 1.5 degrees Celsius rather than 2 or 2.3 degrees,” he went on to say. More unmistakable issues and challenges would arise if the world didn’t move rapidly to achieve this point,” he admonished.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the COP28 President-Designate and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, met with the international organization’s secretary-general on two occasions this year in Abu Dhabi. He said that few useful gatherings were held with Al Jaber.
He went on to say, “The World Meteorological Organization is extremely pleased with the United Arab Emirates’ actions, including their decision to host the headquarters of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), which is a key player in this field, as well as their decision to increase investment in clean energy and other projects that support the organization’s strategy for addressing climate change issues.” He continued, “The World Meteorological Organization is extremely pleased with the United Arab Emirates’ actions.”
