The UAE government is taking a proactive approach to address global climate change by fostering collaboration between the cutting-edge technology and space sectors. The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the UAE Space Agency, and COP28, under the Office of the UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change (OSECC), are joining forces to support organizations in these sectors in showcasing their contributions to environmental initiatives at the Center for Innovation and Innovation during COP28.
The collaboration aims to create a comprehensive environment at COP28 by bringing together leading technology companies, global institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and space agencies to promote collective action on climate goals. Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, emphasizes the crucial roles of advanced technology and space sectors in national economies as drivers of innovation and enablers of achieving net-zero goals. She believes that this collaboration will prepare stakeholders ahead of COP28 by connecting the UAE with the global space and technology ecosystem at the Innovation and Innovation Center.
