Le pr\u00e9sident turc Recep Tayyip Erdogan a menac\u00e9 lundi de lancer une nouvelle op\u00e9ration militaire en Syrie pour s\u00e9curiser la fronti\u00e8re sud de la Turquie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A l’issue d’une r\u00e9union du Cabinet, Erdogan a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le but de l’op\u00e9ration serait de reprendre les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par la Turquie pour cr\u00e9er une zone de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de 30 kilom\u00e8tres (20 miles) le long de sa fronti\u00e8re avec la Syrie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Nous prendrons bient\u00f4t de nouvelles mesures concernant les parties incompl\u00e8tes du projet lanc\u00e9 sur la zone de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de 30 km de profondeur, que nous avons \u00e9tablie le long de notre fronti\u00e8re sud”, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Erdogan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le pr\u00e9sident turc n’a pas fourni d’avantage d’informations, mais a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que l’op\u00e9ration commencerait une fois que les forces militaires, de renseignement et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 turques auront achev\u00e9 leurs pr\u00e9paratifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les forces militaires turques ont lanc\u00e9 trois op\u00e9rations d’envergure dans le nord de la Syrie, prenant le contr\u00f4le des zones qui s’\u00e9tendent le long de la fronti\u00e8re dans le but de s\u00e9curiser la Turquie contre les menaces de l’organisation Etat islamique et celles de la milice kurde, les Unit\u00e9s de protection du peuple (YPG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Turquie consid\u00e8re le YPG comme une extension du Parti des travailleurs du Kurdistan (PKK), qui est d\u00e9sign\u00e9 comme groupe terroriste par la Turquie, les \u00c9tats-Unis et l’Union europ\u00e9enne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le PKK m\u00e8ne une r\u00e9bellion contre la Turquie depuis 1984. Le conflit a entrain\u00e9 des dizaines de milliers de morts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les d\u00e9clarations du pr\u00e9sident turc interviennent \u00e0 un moment o\u00f9 la Turquie s’oppose \u00e0 l’adh\u00e9sion de la Su\u00e8de et de la Finlande \u00e0 l’OTAN, attribuant ce refus au soutien pr\u00e9sum\u00e9 des deux pays au Parti des travailleurs du Kurdistan, et \u00e0 d’autres entit\u00e9s que la Turquie consid\u00e8re comme des groupes terroristes, ainsi qu’\u00e0 leur d\u00e9cision d’imposer des restrictions sur les ventes d’armes \u00e0 la Turquie en raison de l’incursion de l’arm\u00e9e turque en Syrie en 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
